In a Svaroopa ® Yoga Class you experience a supportive and therapeutic setting for your yoga practice.You will receive individualized assistance with your alignments and hands on adjustments in the poses which creates a deeper release of tension.Each class is designed to release tensions in the deep muscles along the spine, starting at the tailbone.With enough release in your tailbone your body will realign from the inside outward.This release extends through the other levels of your being, offering you the direct experience of deep relaxation, healing and transformation.
Private Svaroopa ® Yoga Classes
Private Svaroopa ® Yoga Classes are available to anyone who would like more individualized instruction.Private classes are great if you are new to this style of yoga, have special needs, or would like to develop or deepen your home yoga practice.
What Svaroopa® Yoga Class Should I Take?
Beginner Class - If you are new to yoga or Svaroopa® Yoga then this is the class for you. The Svaroopa® Yoga Beginner class focuses on releasing the tensions in the muscles of the lower spine. In this class you will learn the foundational Svaroopa® Yoga poses. This 1 hour and 30 minute class is appropriate for everyone but will be especially beneficial if you are new to Svaroopa® yoga.
All Levels Class - If you are a beginner or have experience with Svaroopa® Yoga then this is the class for you. This level of class will interweave the essential poses for spinal release with poses that allow you to carry your openness into your life. All Levels Classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes in length.
Gentle Class - If you are dealing with chronic pain, illness, injury, a medical condition, or general stiffness and lack of mobility this class is for you. You will be invited to try postures that will begin to unravel the tension in your body. Props are used to support your body so you can soften into the posture. The class size is limited so you will receive the guidance and instruction you need. Gentle Classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes in length. These classes are limited in size due to the individualized attention you receive in every class.
Yoga for Your Back Series- If you suffer from chronic back pain and you are ready to do something to relieve your discomfort then this class is for you. This 5 week series of classes focuses on a gentle approach to yoga. This series focuses on specifically aligned poses with props that will release the deep spinal tension that causes your back pain. You will receive personal attention as well as poses that you can easily do at home. These classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes in length.
Advanced/Deeper Class - If you are an experienced Svaroopa® Yoga student with an established home practice and you are ready to take your yoga to a new level then this is the class for you. This level of class will include deeper poses, practices and adjustments. Since this is an advanced class you do need my permission to join. Please contact me prior to your first class. These classes are 1 hour and 45 minutes long.
Prenatal Yoga Class - If you are planning a pregnancy or are already expecting join this class. Open your body, mind and heart for prenatal comfort, a smooth delivery and fast post natal healing. Mother and baby will benefit from the specialized pelvic release, heart opening and quieting of the mind and nervous system. If you are new to Svaroopa® Yoga you will need to wait until you have completed your first trimester before joining the class.
